Exporting a full setlist from Back On Stage into ForScore

If you're loading your setlist into ForScore one PDF at a time before every gig, there's a faster way. Back On Stage can export every chart in a setlist as a single zip file, and from there it only takes a few taps to get all of them into ForScore at once.

To get started, you'll need to:

Download all PDFs from your setlist inside Back On Stage
Save the file to your Files app
Unzip the folder
Import the files into ForScore
Choose Overwrite if you're replacing existing files

See below for detailed instructions for each step.

1. Download All PDFs from your setlist

Open the setlist you want to export inside Back On Stage. In the top right corner, tap Actions, then choose Download All PDFs. This bundles every chart in the setlist into a single zip file.

2. Save the file to your Files app

Back On Stage will prompt you to save the file. Choose the Files app.

Quirk on iPadOS (as of this writing): you may first see an "Open In" option. Select that, then tap Save to Files. This opens the Files app — select On My iPad, then tap Save in the top right corner.

3. Unzip the folder

Open the Files app on your iPad. You'll see the downloaded folder at the top of your file list — it'll be named with a short string of digits (for example, "0797"). Tap it once to unzip it. Inside, you'll find every PDF from your setlist.

4. Import the files into ForScore

Open the ForScore app. Tap the half-note icon in the top right corner to open the All Scores menu, then tap Import at the bottom and choose Files.
