Tipping is a powerful way for clients to show their appreciation for your performances and services. But have you ever wondered how to add a tip after a client has already paid their invoice in full using Back on Stage?
You may have noticed that invoices that are paid in full no longer have payment options inside the client portal.
This tutorial shows how to reopen previously paid invoices so that tipping is possible again.
Firstly, the best way to collect tips from your clients is to send them their final payment reminder invoice after the performance is completed.
However, if you prefer to collect full payment upfront before the performance, perhaps due to concerns about clients running off without paying, then this information is for you.
The easiest way to achieve this is through these steps:
In the client portal, your client will see their contract at the top and their invoice at the bottom. If the client hasn't paid the invoice yet, they will have a $2,000 balance owing.
They can select their method of payment and add a tip easily at this point.
However, if you send the invoice before the performance takes place, the chances of receiving a tip are quite low.
