When you send an email to a client through Back On Stage (BOS), you may notice that you receive a copy of this email in your inbox. This is a default feature of our system, designed to:

  1. Allow admins to verify that client emails were sent successfully
  2. Provide added credibility to the emails clients receive

The emails sent to clients include both the unique booking email address and the direct address of company admins, helping to establish the legitimacy of the communication.

Can I stop receiving these email copies?

Currently, BOS doesn't offer an option to turn off this feature within the platform, as it's considered a best practice for transparency and verification.

Recommended Solution: Use Gmail Filters

If you prefer not to see these emails in your inbox, we recommend setting up a filter in your Gmail account. This will allow you to automatically archive or delete these messages.

How to Set Up a Gmail Filter:

  1. Go to your Gmail account
  2. Click on the gear icon and select "See all settings"
  3. Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab
  4. Click "Create a new filter"
  5. In the "From" field, enter the email address used by BOS for sending these notifications
  6. Click "Create filter"
  7. Choose what you want to do with the emails (e.g., Skip the Inbox, Apply the label, Delete it)
  8. Click "Create filter" to save your settings
