Thanks for purchasing an SMS pack! Once SMS is enabled on your company, you can choose which Back On Stage notifications get sent by text message. That means gig offers, gig notices and band chat messages land right in your musicians' pockets, and you can stop texting everyone one by one.
The whole setup takes about two minutes. Watch the video above or follow the steps below.
Before You Start
- SMS must be enabled on your company. When you buy an SMS pack, our team switches the SMS service on inside your account for you. You'll receive an email letting you know it's ready.
- Recipients need a verified phone number. Your musicians, crew and admins (including you) must verify their phone number in their Back On Stage profile before they can receive texts. They just open their profile, click Verify My Phone Number and follow the prompts.
Step 1: Open the Notification Control Center
- Log in to Back On Stage.
- Click Company Settings.
- Scroll down and open the Notification Control Center.
You'll see a list of every notification the platform sends (there are over 20 types). By default, they're all set to Email. Now that you have an SMS pack, you'll also see an SMS option beside each one.
Step 2: Turn On SMS for a Notification
- Find the notification you want sent by text.
- Tick the SMS checkbox.
- Click OK to save.
Repeat for every notification you'd like to receive or send by text.
Step 3: Check What a Notification Does (Optional)
- Not sure what a notification is? Hover over the tooltip icon beside it for a short description.
